Ghost tours run after dark and the good ones sell out on weekends. Check the widget above for what is actually running while you are in Gettysburg.
Most of these can be cancelled up to 24 hours before, so booking early costs nothing and holding out costs you the good guide.
This one meets at Meet in the back parking lot of General Pickett's Buffet.
You will be walking on old, uneven, badly lit ground for an hour or more. It is the advice every operator gives and most visitors ignore.

Three days in July 1863
The deepest paranormal-investigation supply in this network, in a town of 2,400.
Three days in July 1863 produced roughly fifty thousand casualties in and around a town of about 2,400 people. Whatever you believe about the rest of it, that density is real, and it is why Gettysburg supports more investigation-format products than Charleston does with far more tourists.
The National Cemetery holds more than three thousand Union dead and the fields hold many who were never recovered. The better operators remember that, and they are also the ones worth taking children on. A tour that treats the site as a haunted attraction has misread where it is standing.
An investigation hands you equipment and spends hours in one location. A battlefield tour walks you through what happened. Both are legitimate; they are not substitutes, and the listings make the difference clear if you read past the title.
Gettysburg's 10 bookable tours start at $21 and run to $70, against a national ghost-tour median of $30 measured across 208 products. That entry price sits below the category 25th percentile of $25, which makes it genuinely cheap for a ghost tour rather than simply cheap. The distinction matters: a low price in a thin market usually means one operator with nobody to compete against, not a bargain. With 10 products competing, the field is deep enough that a weak tour struggles to survive on reviews alone, so the floor is higher than the price alone suggests. Our tour guide Cheyenne was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable. She explained the history of each location and equipment we were going to use. She engaged in helping us connect w the spirits.
Wonderful your great locations a must do in Gettysburg
Our guide, Carey, she was awesome! It was myself, my 2 daughters, and Carey, we had a fantastic night! Carey is extremely knowledgeable about the equipment we were using and the area in which we explored. I would highly recommend this exploration with Carey any time and will certainly book again next time we visit! We had some very unexpected and spine tingling encounters at both sites we went to on our midnight to three am adventure!
Cheyenne was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable teaching us both. Met some interesting mediums and had a good conversation with them. Great time investigating on the tour
Cheyenne was wonderful. very knowledgeable, informative, and pleasant. she was never overbearing and looking over our shoulders, but allowed the group to explore.
I thought our guide Clinton was awesome extremely knowledgeable about the area and the equipment we used I was very pleased and my daughter was very happy we went we're actually going to try to book again before we leave in hopes to get Clinton it was very good at what he does.
We had weather issues HOWEVER the people at After Dark contacted me to put us on an earlier tour so we could still have the experience which was really great of them to do. We had a great time and just enjoyed being able to explore different locations in Gettysburg that we have never been able to investigate. Cheyenne and Clinton were great, we had to improvise the tour because of the weather and they handled things fantastically. I would book a tour with these guys everytime I come to Gettysburg. Hope to see you guys again soon!!!
Malcom was a great guide! Knowledgeable about the area and events that have transpired on and around both bridges. We were able to make contact with several beings. One definitely not of this world and learned that it is keeping an unfortunate soul here against his will. Well worth the money & time spent. Sparked something that may cause us to continue this back home. Please keep in touch Malcom! We would very much like to know how everything turns out & thank you again for the experience of a lifetime!
It was great! Our guide Maria had many stories of locations and past events. Entertaining and a fun nighttime activity.
The tour was great. Jim was very knowledgeable and presented well. It was definitely worth the money and a great time.
Makayla was very knowledgeable about the area and all of the stop we made.
Our tour was great! Lots of great history and stories!
The tour was great, Maria’s storytelling was spirited and easy to follow. A fascinating history of the town with some fun ghost stories mixed in. Thank you for a good time!
Maria was a very knowledgeable and engaging guide! She told some anecdotes, shared pictures, and painted a vivid picture of the history of Gettysburg. She even persevered through the loud motorcycles rolling through town for bike week and the rainy weather! Great experience.
Jim was a fantastic tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about the history of Gettysburg while keeping it interesting! Jim was specific in pointing out locations and the corresponding stories along the way. We would highly recommend Jim!
Amber was fantastic ! Very knowledgeable & very friendly ! Will definitely come back to do another tour 😍
Marc was an amazing guide! He was very into the reality of it all and didn't try to force or fake anything. He was willing to give us as much time as we wanted and went way over the time we paid for with no expectation of more money. I highly recommend this tour of you want to communicate with spirits, not just get ghost stories. Ask for Marc for your guide as well!
Tommy was very personable. I liked how we were able to go off on our own to explore and hunt.
Marc was the best. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He had all of the gear and had so many great stories and things to share. Hands down one of the best tours we have had.
